Our Criminal Justice Seniors spent the morning at Empower Youth packing weekend food bags for kids in our community after other groups had to cancel. This is exactly the kind of heart and leadership we’re proud to build at Grant.

If your child is attending this competition and you have not done so already, please check your e-mail that we have on file to access the permission slip link, contact info, packing list, and other important information about the competition.

The groom of the week. Sunny was adopted from Sweet Dream House Animal Rescue here at Grant! He was initially supposed to be a foster, but once they got to know him, they couldn't give him up. He LOVES being outside. When he's home, it's hard to get him in the house- as in he literally runs away from them when he needs to go in. He spends most of his day laying on their driveway or on a small trampoline in the front yard and saying hi to neighbors. People love to visit with him. He helps people at Grant by being a distraction and a comfort. Students will often come to student services to walk with him or just sit with him while they take a break. While he will occasionally get the zoomies around the office, he generally just lays around all day long and acts like a giant stuffed animal. When they first got Sunny, they told the rescue that they were happy to foster him long as he wouldn't get too big since they have a toddler and a small house. They reassured them he was full grown at one year old. Turns out they were about 6 months and 45 pounds off 🙂

Early Childhood Education Juniors helped Mrs. Tieman host the most fun Winter Activity Day for our Head Start Preschoolers! It was a fun way to start Winter Break!
Our junior Cosmetology students have completed the nail program and are off to start cosmetology! Today they learned a simple roller set and got some hands on work in on the mannequins! #GCC #cosmetologist 💅💇♀️
